The Latest Technology
Advances in dental technology have helped make trips to the dentist faster and a more pleasant experience for our patients. Just as technology has modified our homes, workplaces, and even relationships, modern developments have revolutionized the way people feel about going to the dentist.[/vc_column_text]
At WeCare Dental Surgery one of our main aims is to keep up to date with all the latest technologies within the Dental sector.
Over the past few months in line with our refurbishment of the practice, we have invested in some state-of-the-art equipment to help us provide an even better experience for our patients. This new equipment not only aids our clinicians to provide the best dental care, but will also improve patient understanding on dental treatments and why the treatment is needed.
We are proud to announce that we have installed a top of the range 3D scanner and Panoramic unit at our practice:
Our Planmeca Promax CBCT scanner provides the highest-quality 2D and 3D imaging all the while using the unique Planmeca Ultra Low Dose imaging protocol. The protocol is based on low does 3D imaging algorithms that decrease effective patient dose significantly with any reduction in image quality. This helps our clinicians to be in line with the As Low As Reasonably Achievable Principle (ALARA).
Our unique Planmeca Ultra Low Dose™ imaging protocol is the world’s leading method for acquiring 3D dental images at low effective patient doses. It allows clinicians to gather more information than from standard 2D panoramic images at an equivalent or even lower patient dose – without a statistical reduction in image quality. 3D scanners have become increasingly important in treatment planning and diagnosis in dentistry.
Planmeca panoramic unit offer an advanced and versatile 2D imaging experience. From flexible patient positioning to creative innovations and high image quality, these panoramic imaging units represent 2D dental imaging at its finest.
Our Planmeca digital scanner eliminates the need to take messy impressions and therefore creates a more comfortable experience for the patient. Using the top of the line scanning speeds the digital scanner is able to scan an entire arch in less than a minute.
Our WeCare Dental team has constant and optimal access to live scanning data. This allows us to focus on the treatment area without any distractions. The scanner also provides practical sound guidance to ensure optimal data capture the digital impressions in vivid and lifelike colors. With unmatched trueness and precision, the scanner helps clinicians always achieve predictable results – from single-unit and multi-unit restorations to full arches.
We have installed new intraoral cameras on each of the dental chair units in each surgery. These are an integral part of new technology allowing our patients to get involved with the process of diagnosis and providing them with a better understanding of the issue as well as the proposed treatment. The intraoral camera is connected to the medical-grade display unit also attached to the dental chair unit and is ergonomically positioned and provides a wide viewing angle for our patients and clinicians.
Romexis® Smile Design
Intuitive digital smile design software

We can now offer our patients a digital version of a perfect smile for them with beautiful and natural smile. It only takes a few minutes to design a smile with a 2D face photo and intelligent tooth silhouettes. The software allows us to manipulate the position, shape and dimensions of each tooth individually to achieve the optimal look and fit
Whether patients need inlays, onlays, crowns or veneers – we can create full-contour individual tooth restorations within an hour. The CEREC milling and grinding unit and the CEREC software are optimally synchronized with one another. Grinding and milling the restoration design is extremely precise, giving the restorations smooth surfaces. Even very fine fissures are very precisely prepared and the edges are very even. CEREC crowns stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. They are typically made of of a solid block of ceramic or resin materials. One of the benefits of a CEREC crown is that can make this type of crown within a single visit.
